This study evaluated the irrigation water management and different amounts of boron fertilizer affacts on yield and and water use efficiency of sugar beet. The two-factor factorial design in randomized complete block with three replications of irrigation and different levels of boron fertilizer for three years (2000-02) was designed in Qazvin. The main four irrigation treatments were T1, T2, T3 and T4, consist of 60, 90, 120 and 150 mm from cumulative evaporation from a class evaporation pan. The fertilizer were at three levels based on soil test (30 kg boric acid), 30 percent below the recommended fertilizer (21 kg ha BA), 30 percent more than the recommended fertilizer (39 kg ha BA) treatments, namely B1, B2 and B3 respectively. The results showed that combination effects of water and fertilizer boron levels were significant at level of five percent probability. The highest and lowest root yield was belonging to 60 and 150 mm of evaporation from class a pan with recommended fertilizer as 66460 and 37610 kg/ha, respectively. The value of water use effeciency with 90 mm evaporation from pan and recomonded fertilizer with 6.97 kg/ha was highest, while it was lowest with 60 mm evaporation and 30 percent more than recommonded fertilizer as 6.52 kg/ha. Finally, the results showed that irrigation with 90 mm evaporation from pan class A with application of 30 kg/ha acid boric fertilizer was the best recommondation for sugarbeet production in the region.
